The CPP Lighthouse is for the photography enthusiast who wants to gain a mastery level of understanding of photography - whether you want to take the CPP exam or not.

Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) is a certification program offered by the Professional Photographers of America. Candidates must pass a rigorous exam before earning their certification.

CPP Lighthouse was originally designed to prepare students for the Certified Professional Photographer exam. Today it’s an invaluable class for any photographer wanting to master their craft.

Classes

CPP Lighthouse is a live online offering. The class meets for two hours one night a week, for 8 weeks. Students will connect via a video call service like Zoom. Connection details are provided a few days before the class.

Class Resources

Each student will receive a hard copy of the CPP Lighthouse Companion Study Guide. There is also a private folder that students will have access to that includes additional resources. These include a library of white papers and other supplemental material relevant to the topics we cover.

Your Instructor - Rob Hull

The class was developed and is taught by Rob Hull of GreatPhotography. Rob is a Certified Professional Photographer and has also earned his Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees.

Rob began teaching photography at Southern Methodist Univerisity in 1998 and in 2002 he hosted his first photography workshop. Since that time he has taught well over 3,000 students and mentored hundreds in workshops in such exotic places as the Greek Islands, Tuscany, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland. Closer to home, he’s guided students in the Canadian Rockies, and many of our National Parks.
