Electrical Considerations
The voltage in Britain is 220/240 volts, 50 Hz., and the standard plug has three rectangular pins. To use any electronics brought from home, you’ll need to have an adapter. But wait! We don’t recommend that you take anything electrical with you.
With a good adapter, you’ll be able to use your camera and phone chargers, but don’t plan on taking a hairdryer or curling iron. The results could be shocking.
Read our White Paper about Electrical Considerations When Traveling.
If you’re looking for an adapter that will work in the UK, consider these from Amazon.
