Animal Safari & Canon Advanced Shooter

Corbell Workshops has two amazing programs coming up in the next few weeks. Both are in North Texas and are quite unique. Check them out.

Call of the Wild

Tuesday, October 24 - 27, 2017  -  Glen Rose, TX

It’s time for a unique animal safari without spending hours on a plane. Do you feel the call of the wild? Join us as we explore and photograph incredible free roaming Addax, Gazelle, Oryx, blackbuck, wildebeest, giraffe, kudu, zebra, and so much more.

We’ve made special arrangements with Fossil Rim Wildlife Sanctuary in Glen Rose, Texas for a unique animal photography experience. During the workshop, you will have two exclusive private tours of the park - one in the morning and one in the late afternoon. With professional guides from the park, you are able to go where the animals go and they will position the open-air safari van in the best position for the lighting conditions.

When you’re not criss-crossing the park, you’ll be with us at the Inn on the River in Glenn Rose where you'll learn to edit your work to make it really snap. In the end, you’ll go home with some incredible images.

Canon Advanced Shooter

November 11-12, 2017  -  Dallas, TX

Today’s cameras deliver an unprecedented array of functionality but an increase in complexity can spell disaster for the unprepared photographer.

The Canon Advanced Shooter Workshop is an intense hands-on program featuring Tony Corbell and Rob Hull, along with Canon Senior Professional Market Specialist, Bob Malish. The depth of Bob’s product knowledge is unparalleled.

Newer technology, such as Canon’s new dual pixel CMOS AF sensor has really changed everything. Now instead of hunting for lines of contrast, this sensor uses phase-difference analysis, making focusing fast and incredibly accurate. Do you know how to use this new auto focus technology?

How about ISO? Have you ever shot at 32000? You can now.
Connectivity, focus, ISO - these are just a few of the systems that have seen dramatic evolution in the past couple years and we will cover each one in detail. You’ll also learn more about your flash system - using one on-camera flash, or multiple off-camera flashes. Shoot tethered with Canon apps or Lightroom.

Customize your camera. We will cover, in detail, all the options for customizing your camera. Yes, when you leave this workshop you’ll have a renewed appreciation for all the functionality that your camera delivers, and a much better understanding of how to make it all work to your advantage.
